You want to find
a job in the United Kingdom or in Ireland?
Here
are some Options!
The easiest
way to find a job, but not the most effective, and
rather
expensive, is to take out an advert in one of the
daily newspapers. There are low cost advertisements in
the Evening Standard. The costs in the
major morning papers are prohibitive. Other
alternatives are to subscribe and deposit your CV on the
major internet jobs boards. This will do well for low to
midlevel jobs. You can find some of these in our pages
about job search in Britain.
Approaching
recruiters and search consultants is another possibility.
Many British search consultants though, will only want
your CV for a specific job for which they
already have an employer assignment. They also tend
to avoid offering people who need a work permit (i.e. non
EU/EFTA citizens) to employers.
You
can take out an advertisement in these pages.
The costs are a mere US$ 9.99 for 150 words and the
advert will stay up for 60 days or for $14.99 for 120
days. Click

"British pages" have about 1,600 unique
visitors a day, about 60% of them commercial and employer
visits.
Once you
have placed an advert, you will need a good
Curriculum Vitae. The British version of that,
like most European ones, is a sort of all exclusive
"exhibit of yourself". It
is not an American personal sales document!
