Jobs in the Middle East
and the United Arab Emirates
There
are almost any types of jobs available in
the Middle East. They can range from
construction labourers to the highest CEO positions. Good
qualifications and experience as well as tolerance to
other cultures is a must for potential candidates.
The boom in Dubai and other UAE countries has had a
magnet effect on Jobs in Dubai. You can
see here, what
is required of an employee in terms of paperwork, once
you accept a job in Dubai. The requirements are similar
for other Gulf State Jobs.
Despite the current economic conditions,
the Gulf States are still booming. Competition for jobs
is very strong and you should remember that in 2008 almost
2,000 people per day moved to the UAE Qatar and
Bahrein each day!

company we cooperate with, had an Accounts Receivable
Manager advertised and within four weeks, more than 600
applications were received (December 2008). They are
still receiving applications.
Compensation packages and salaries for specific positions
varies greatly, depending on your experience and
qualifications, the industry, the company, and where you
are from, . The employment law states that all foreign
employees must be given annually a return air
ticket to their home country and one month's vacation.
The employer must also provide you with a Residence Visa,
Labour Card and Health Card.

However, employment
packages can vary widely and it is important for
you to do as much research as you can.
Check and read the local newspapers regularly
online, such as www.gulfnews.com and www.khaleejtimes.com You
should also look which companies from your
country are operating in the area.If you are
lucky, you can get an interview in your own
country and ask for position based in the Gulf. |
If you have the money, you can come to the Gulf on
holiday, see as many relevant employment agencies and
companies as you can. You can get package
holiday deals, especially from the UK, but it is still
expensive. Thousands of
people are coming here on visiters visas looking for
jobs. You are much more likely to be offered a job, if
they can interview you in person.
